Ingrid Lilligren is a professor in Art and Visual Culture at Iowa State University, teaching all levels of ceramics. As a 2022-2024 Fellow of the Student Innovation Center, she is developing a palette of Cone 6 glazes taking advantage of Iowa’s wind-generated electricity. Recent exhibitions include The Des Moines Art Center; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Brunnier Art Museum at Iowa State University; Woodbury University, Los Angeles; and Museum of the Hand in Lausanne, Switzerland. Her art is held in public collections including Grinnell College, Iowa State University, the Sioux City Art Center, and private collections. Lilligren’s art incorporates Braille to explore social, cultural, and political blindness.
